The South African National Energy Agency (SANEA) will host its inaugural leadership conference at the Gallagher Convention Centre, in Midrand, in November as the organisation marks its centenary.

Convened under the theme of ‘Transform – Energising Progress: Transformative Leadership for a sustainable future’, the two-day event will also include a SANEA Centenary Celebration on November 6 and the SANEA Awards Breakfast on November 7.

The SANEA Annual Awards will showcase project, as well as research and innovation excellence in the energy sector, and acknowledge energy leaders. Nominations remain open until September 16.

The event will include influential leaders, experts, and emerging talent from diverse sectors, while conference discussions will spotlight key aspects of transformative leadership, including advocacy for social justice, equity and sustainability, as well as how volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity can be navigated.

“As we move the sector forward and focus on building, transitioning in a resilient and sustainable way, the necessity for agile, forward thinking, decisive and informed leadership is significantly increased,” SANEA says.
