NAMPO 2025: Where Global Agriculture Meets Local Soil

Bothaville, South Africa: As the global agricultural landscape grapples with interconnected challenges, South African farmers are poised to embrace a new era of innovation at the 57th annual NAMPO Harvest Day. Scheduled for May 13-16, 2025, at NAMPO Park, Bothaville, this premier agricultural showcase will adopt the theme “Global Agriculture, Locally!”, emphasising the crucial role of international knowledge and practices in strengthening local agriculture.

NAMPO Harvest Day, the largest agricultural exhibition in the Southern Hemisphere, will once again serve as a dynamic hub for producers, agribusinesses, and service providers. This year, the focus is on bridging the gap between global agricultural advancements and their practical application within the South African context.

“Global Agriculture Locally” transcends mere theme; it’s a strategic imperative for South African grain producers navigating a rapidly evolving agricultural economy. The exchange of ideas, technologies, and best practices across borders presents unparalleled opportunities for local farmers to enhance resilience, competitiveness, and sustainability.

“South African producers understand that they are not farming in isolation,” asserts Dr Dirk Strydom, Managing Director of NAMPO (Pty) Ltd. “What happens globally – whether it’s innovation, trade flows or climate patterns – affects what happens locally. NAMPO provides producers with access to global agriculture in one location, offering solutions they can utilize today.

NAMPO 2025 will feature an array of innovations, from cutting-edge machinery to climate-adaptive seed varieties, agri-finance services, and digital solutions. The event will also highlight the importance of climate-smart practices and precision agriculture, reflecting the industry’s commitment to sustainable and efficient farming.
